When Mica Scott moved into a quiet Chicago suburb, she wasn’t ready for what she found. Her new neighbor is bossy, kinda scary, and defines hotness. Sure, he’s a hunky alpha male, the kind most women secretly long for, but the man oozes danger. And Mica isn’t most women. After a chance encounter brings a new man to her door, Mica struggles to find a path between what she wants, and what she needs.

UNITED INDIE BOOK BLOG REVIEW
REVIEWER: LESLEY
RATING: 4 STARS
I really struggled to get into this book and it was a slow burn for me. The story was slow to start and the flashbacks, MC and Hockey storyline had me really confused at one point. I liked both the MC and Hockey theme it was different but for me I don't know if it worked.
I love Mason he is everything you expect from and MC Prez but at times I really just wanted him to grow a pair and take what was his but he knew he wasn't Micas forever so he does the honourable thing and pushed Daniel to her. I liked Daniel but I don't think he is the right man for Mica and as for Mica well I really couldn't gel with her and even though she had been through an awful lot in her life I felt like she was a whiney selfish person who didn't deserve the love of two men. At times all I just wanted her to pick one or the other or hell both at the same time just stop the back n forth and playing them off again each other.
As the story progressed I found myself getting more involved in the story and I started to enjoy it more and there was a lot going on in it. I enjoyed the meeting the hockey guys and I loved the MC element and getting to know the Brothers especially Slate and I'm looking forward to reading his story.
I voluntarily read and advanced readers copy of this book.

Raised in the south, MariaLisa learned about the magic of books at an early age. Every summer, with the help of a gracious librarian who did not believe in age-restricted stacks, she would spend hours in the local library, devouring books of every genre. Self-described as a book-a-holic, she says “I always loved to read, then I discovered writing, and I adored that, too. For reading … if nothing else is available, I’ve been known to read the back of the cereal box.” She still reads voraciously, and always has a few books going in paperback, hardback, or on devices.
